Our current Gurudwara - Santa Clara's Silicon Valley Gurudwara - was a dream of Santa Clara and adjoining city's sangat who in late January 2012, rented the Machado Park's community hall for congregation. Every Sunday, then on, the community gathered there. Within one year of starting, with the blessings of Waheguru, and love of giving and togetherness of the sangat SVG found a new location at 2306 Walsh Ave, Santa Clara. Gurudwara Sahib was established to operate 24/7. Now the gurudwara is not limited to Sunday hours only but also open to hosts special events, from raag darbar, katha, kirtan and akhand paths. Khalsa school commenced in September of 2013 with enthusiastic and dedicated individuals who initiated the love of learning. Enrolling younger groups Khalsa school's bar of excellence kept on rising with each coming year by the hard working volunteers in teaching, administration and selfless service. Dedication towards Khalsa school encouraged many to keep giving and contributing in whatever way they could to make it a success. Even with small space availability the spirit to teach and learn never vanished.
There was always a hope for a larger venue so the Gurudwara can also provide khalsa school for youths. With Guru ji's blessings, this highly thoughtful and desired dream was answered. With growing time as our community and Khalsa school strengthened, SVG is now waiting to be on a bigger place that is in the process of renovation giving Khalsa School a place to flourish within the Gurudwara Sahib. Our future generations are enthusiastic to learn their native language and our community has always been active with our parent volunteers always working towards making Punjabi Gurmat and Gurmukhi learning their duty towards Sikhi and Punjabi.
SVG has proudly completed its first graduated class of 6th grade of Punjabi.
